About the Event

This event will be wildly entertaining for the whole family! Nadine Kaadan has been writing and illustrating children's books since she was 8 years old and feels that it's her calling in life. Her books help to spread reading culture around the Arab world and disperse the richness and beauty in Syrian culture. Nadine's children's books help parents convey compelling and delicate ideas to younger readers through gripping storylines and colourful illustrations. She has written about children with special needs and troubled situations across the Arab world.

This event will see Nadine perform a theatrical reading of 'Tomorrow'- a tale dedicated to Syrian children who may have seen or felt violence, stress or confusion related to the conflict. The story follows a young boy called Yazan attempting to process his thoughts and worries. Nadine's performances encourage and allow children to begin to discuss their feelings towards big topics and we expect this event to be hugely beneficial for parents of refugee children that may struggle to articulate their emotions.
