Exhibition: The Creative Memory of the Syrian Revolution

As part of ‘Celebrating Syria' Festival 2018, an emotionally stirring selection of works by a group of Syrian artists was on display for the duration of the festival in Goodstock Charity Shop the whole month of October. The exhibition was then moved to RR centre to be on display for two months until 25th of January 2019 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00-17:00, for other days/times by pre-booked visit).

This mobile exhibition is realised and developed in partnership between Creative Memory and TANDEM Scène Nationale. The exhibition depicted the uprising of the Syrian people against Bashar al-Assad’s regime and ISIS. Visitors experienced the ways in which Syrian artists used their creativity and imagination to portray the birth of the revolution, its progression and its fate.

Rethink Rebuild Society (RR) is a Manchester-based charity that works towards improving the lives of refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants in the UK, in particular but not exclusively Syrians, helping them become positively established within British society.
