As part of ‘Celebrating Syria' Festival 2018 and Journey Festival International, on 11 October, award winning playwright Lizzie Nunnery presented "Raqqa", a work-in-progress sharing of scenes and songs from a new play exploring women's experiences of conflict. The event took place at Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama / John Thaw Studio Theatre, the University of Manchester.
Following a month-long programme of community workshops with Sola Arts and 4Wings women groups in Liverpool, Box of Tricks hosted this informal sharing of a short film along with songs and scenes written by Lizzie and inspired by the workshop participants.
